Reorganizing InfoSum for our next stage of growth

Only a few weeks removed from announcing our $65 million Series B funding, the team at InfoSum hasn’t missed a beat preparing for the next stage of our growth. At that time I laid out our goals for the remainder of 2021 and into 2022, and how we intend to take data collaboration mainstream:

  • Accelerate the recruitment of the best talent
  • Invest in our engineering, R&D, and product development
  • Enter new markets, opening offices globally

To set InfoSum up for success and ensure we achieve these goals, we have today confirmed a number of organizational changes. In today’s increasingly complex working environment, strong leadership is more important than ever. So as we enter the next phase of growth, it’s important to align all of our go-to-market, product, and operational functions under a strong, unified leadership structure.

Firstly, Nick Halstead will remain in his role as Founder & CTO. Nick’s passion for building technology that challenges the status quo of data collaboration, combined with his vision for how data can improve our increasingly digital-first world while prioritizing the privacy of consumers, make him a fantastic partner on this journey.

The bedrock of any company is its people. This is especially true at InfoSum. Today we announced that Lauren Wetzel will move into the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). In her new role, Lauren will continue to drive our global marketing, strategy, and operations teams, and begin management of InfoSum’s People function. Lauren will also establish and manage the company’s business development and channel partnerships team. Lauren brings extensive and proven experience to all of these important business functions, but it is her unwavering passion and commitment to creating a people-first culture that gives me confidence that this team will continue to expand and thrive as InfoSum grows.

InfoSum’s passion for being people-first extends beyond our own team. Since its inception, our technology has been designed to preserve the privacy of consumers. As more companies look to use data to power greater and more personalized customer experiences, it’s important that the privacy of consumers is respected and prioritized. Today we reaffirm our commitment to privacy by creating the position of Head of Privacy. Uli Hegge, SVP of Central Europe will assume this newly established role. Central Europe and in particular Germany have been at the forefront of privacy, setting a clear example to the rest of the world on how to protect the privacy of consumers. In this new role, Uli will be a global advocate for the privacy of consumers and will work closely with all areas of the business to ensure we remain the best-in-class solution for privacy-safe data collaboration.

Since joining InfoSum in 2019, Richard Foster has led the commercial teams in the UK and Europe. His strategic leadership has resulted in an average of 60% client growth quarter on quarter, and revenue by an average of 197%. As Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) Richard now takes on the additional responsibility of sales in all regions, and the company’s client services function. He will focus on growing InfoSum’s revenue globally, and servicing existing customers’ expanding use cases.

Finally, against an ever-evolving compliance landscape, we prepare to take InfoSum into new regions and industries. It is therefore important that we recognize the unique and often complex compliance requirements of each country. Danvers Baillieu will assume the newly created role of President, Legal & Business Affairs, responsible for overseeing all legal and compliance at InfoSum. Danvers has been a pillar of InfoSum since 2016 and has ensured InfoSum’s technology supports all our customers in meeting the requirements of GDPR in Europe and CCPA in the United States. It is imperative that we continue to help businesses across the globe meet the highest of privacy and security standards, and I am confident in Danvers and the team to lead the charge.

Of course, this revamped leadership team is nothing without the teams that make up this company. One of the core values we live by at InfoSum is ‘empowering collective genius.’ While this is clearly a nod to our data collaboration technology, it is the internal meaning that makes me so proud to lead InfoSum.

Everyone at InfoSum is passionate about creating leading-edge technology and bringing that technology to industries like healthcare, gaming, financial services, media, and more. Together we’re on a mission to connect the world’s data without sharing it. With this team, I’m exceptionally confident that we will achieve this mission.
